There was an electrical storm in this area a couple of weeks ago. The electricity was off for about 30 minutes or so. My computer was turned off when electricity went out, but came ON when the electricity came back on? How in the world did this happen. It was totally turned off as I just returned home. Electrical clock in another room shows power off about 30 minutes.

Computer seems to be working fine and everything is hooked up to a surge protector--but it was OFF and came on; just like I was actually using it.:think2: :think2: :think2:

That is normal. The beavior is determined by a setting within CMOS (hardware) setup "On power restore", or something like that, with "Turn On" being one of the possible options.
